Menu of Hot Foods Served

At Comedor Angelitos, we have developed five different menus for our hot meals, which we periodically serve to 100 or more children from the community. Currently, our cost per plate ranges from $1.75 to $2.50.

1. Arroz a la Valenciana (Chicken and rice)

Chicken mixed with rice, carrots, tomatoes, celery, onions, garlic, peppers; served with green salad; natural pineapple drink.

 

 

2. Carne de res con verduras (Beef, rice, and vegetables)

Cut-up steak with chayote, carrots, tomatoes, onions, peppers, garlic, parsley; accompanied with rice and tortillas; natural melon and orange juice.

 

 

3. Pollo con verduras (Chicken and vegetables)

Chicken with potatoes, chayote, carrots, tomatoes, onions, peppers, garlic; served with rice and green plantains; natural lime and dragon fruit beverage.

 

 

4. Plato típico Nicaragüense (Classic rice and beans)

Rice and red beans; served with ripe plantains, carrots and chayote, and fresh cheese; fresh passion fruit and lime drink. 

 

 

5. Nacatamales con tortillas  (Chicken tamales)

Large corn tamal with chicken, rice, potatoes, carrots, onions, peppers, olive; served with tortillas; watermelon and orange juice drink.


 

Desserts: we also serve rice-pudding, cupcakes / muffins, or fresh fruit salad; for special occasions, we may provide cake and/or ice-cream.
